A hint then, that's all.

If House X is booked 4 - 7th Of May, it's available from 1 - 3rd and 8th - 31st.

So if you start off with available and the booking function recalcs availability....

Note you could calculate available just from bookings, but it's some pretty stiff SQL. This way you've got available and you can set it up for down periods, like shut at Xmas etc.

That's a pretty broad hint actually.

You might want to look up access' date arithmetic functions. DatePart is a good start, they might give you some clues on what you could do.

PS don't put your email address out here in public, some git is going to spam the **** out of it.

Any more help ?

Hi there, I am doing a similar project but for a Kilt Rental Booking system.

I just need a wee hint as well if possible. Do I need to create a table with all of my kilts and all of the dates for the next few years? Or is there some short cut, like some form of calender. I just want each kilt to be either 'available', 'booked' or 'on hire' for any date.

Any help available?
