How do I remove the adminiatrative share

How do I remove the administrative shres on my workstation. It seems everytime I reboot they return. I am running XP pro.

Not positive, but try uninstalling the File and Print Sharing Protocol from your network options. See if that helps

Hi,
This requires a registry addition. Create a DWORD value at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
call it AutoShareServer , give it the data of 0 (thats a zero). I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do though. If you want to lock others out of your machine then it's simpler to move the domain admins out of your local admins group (if you are in a domain) - make sure that you are still in there of course. Taking away the admin shares will meanthat you can't use them either, and with the correct security config no-one but you will be able to use them anyway. Hope this helps...
