I tried Malwarebytes and it worked for a few days but came back. I then downloaded the fully functional Kaspersky trial Internet/Anti Virus Solution 2010 and pow all gone and working fine. Thanks

"It came back"

Well, unless you have something for real-time protection, you may get infected, if you are going to the same infected site, or catching it from removable media (or somewhere else on your local loop, if you have cable internet...)

Come back

What's this about cable internet and local loop?

It is somewhat like a LAN, but not exactly.

by seanferd In reply to Come back

Anyway, for some malware especially, it is easy to infect other people in the same loop on cable networks. They work differently from, say, DSL, in that there is a segment of people sharing this physical network loop (as well as the bandwidth - hence the complaints against file sharers using other people's bandwidth).

Thought it was something like that.

I have DSL now; switching to cable. I remembered, vaguely from my studies, a thing known as "token ring", and the other ways a LAN was set up for all members to participate.

I have somehow managed, for all this time, to not have you in "my contacts". And I just figured it out.

Hitman PRO uses 5 different engines to scan your system and is a cloud malware scanner. You can activate for free the license for 30 days. Normally all malware scanners will scan the registry.
