I recently bought a PC with Windows 7 Ultimate pre-loaded. I later found that this was an illegal copy and I was left without a serial no. In order to legalise the s/w I bought a copy of Windows 7 but by mistake bought the Home Premium edition instead of the Ultimate edition. Can I load this ‘cheaper’ version without having to reinstall all my s/w and data? (the existing s/w obviously does not recognise the serial of the Home Premium edition)
