We would like to have a user dial up remotley to access files etc on our network. I have given the user dial up permissions and I can successfully get them to dial up and connect to our network over a modem from their home pc.
But that is where it ends.
We know it has connected because of the little icon that displays in the bottom right corner whenever a connection is made. But we can’t access computers or files from the network ….. we can only connect.
I thought that once we had connected, it would then only be a matter of opening Windows explorer and maybe going to network neighbourhood to view all the computers or files on the network. I am obviously missing something – do we need to buy 3rd party software?
Any suggestions would be appreciative. Thankyou.
