I read your post but I am still a little confused.

What’s your goal here? To share (drives/folders/printers) between the computers in your office AND to share an internet connection? or is it to just share the files and printers?

How many systems do you want to connect? Anything more than 2 and you’ll need a hub/switch.

If you are trying to share an internet connection (DSL/Cable/etc) then the easiest way to do it is to buy one of the common routers that enables you to do it. Linksys, Netgear, etc make them and they’re around $100.

If you want to just share the files and printers, make sure every client is in the same workgroup, select a common protocol, install file and printer sharing on each system, and set share level access.

If you are trying to share files, etc and an internet connection, then do the above, but make TCP/IP your protocol, and configure Internet Connection Sharing with the information from your service provider.

As always, feel free to contact me if you’d like any more help or like me to explain anything else.

      Thanks.
