One of my co-workers had a secondary hard drive which he stored some files he was using on a windows 95 old packerd bell computer. The hard drive was working find as a storage media at that time. He removed the hard drive to install it into another computer to retrieve the files. The new computer runs windows 98 SE. The Bios recognizes the drive perfectly, but when the computer boots Windows 98, the drive even though recognized in the device menu, is unable to be accessed.
I then went into Fdisk to see how the drive was partioned and found out that it is of type NON-DOS and is not FAT16 or FAT32. That is under the “system” in Fdisk it is Blank.
Do you have any information which might help us retrieve the information on the hard drive?
