How do you find computer name/ip address of another computer over internet?

By Crack crack ·
One of my project concerning "internet and network security" is to find/locate my partner's computer over internet and get details about it such as computer name, ip address and so on.

And that's the whole homework?

by TobiF In reply to How do you find computer ...

If this is the homework you've received, then you need to learn a bit more about how different internet protocols work, and then start figure, how you can use this:
If he sends you an email,
If he visits your web site,
If he gives you access to his computer
etc.

But, it's no fun if we'll solve your homework here. Start reading.

Agree, that was a bad choice...

Despite the large number of registered users, one should be able to find a better nick name that is still available.

Listen closely and you may hear a countryman singing my praise. He was here for a competition motorcycle event, only, with a leaky gasoline tank.

Came to find he had it "fixed" before he left Australia. Came to find as I investigated that I had a whole lot of undoing to do of a completely amateurish repair.

Got it done right, at length. He went on to participate. His friend was in the other day telling me that I can be assured of overseas business.

Next, computer expertise and eating your lunch.

You get those jobs too?

by OH Smeg In reply to Hey, Col

When I first got the 250CE Merc I found a lot of MIG Welding round where the steering Box bolts onto the Inside guard of the car.

I didn't like the look of it them and after driving the car for a few days I liked the look of that welding even less.

Anyway to cut a long story short after getting what i considered enough Grinding Wheels to grind out the weld and redo it I found that I could slip a screwdriver under the mess and break it off. I still have half a box of Grinding Wheels that I've yet to use 6 years latter but at least no longer have a Steering Box flapping in the breeze. It's very disconcerting to turn the wheel and nothing happens then after turning it to a full lock the car after tracking straight for ages suddenly jumps sideways.

I have to wonder how some supposedly Professional People where rated as Professional. I've come to the conclusion that they won their qualifications in a low end Chook Raffle.

I just have to love those jobs, takes ages to undo the mess and a few seconds to fix the initial problem once you can get to it. Of course with Windows not knowing how they did something quite often makes it impossible to undo what has been done without a reload.

OH remember with Fuel Tanks to **** them out with Exhaust Gasses so there is no Petrol Fumes left in the tank. Under No Circumstances should you fill them with water as that's unnecessary. :^0
