How do you free up access to Program Files on XP professional.

By newpoppy ·
When tranfering files to a computer on the network to Program Files I get an error message that Program Files is not accessable, therefore I have to move the files to another directory, then go to that machine and do another tranfer.
There are a couple of other directories on several work stations that I have to do this for. Can this be changed and HOW?

You have to have the appropriate privileges

or file permissions. How can you manage a network without knowing this? You need full Admin privileges on each machine (group policy) and/or NTFS access and write permissions to the Program files directory.

Why transfer anything directly into Program Files, unless it doesn't need to be installed?
