As many of you may have read, Xerox has banned users and administrators from installing Windows XP on their corporate network because the WinXP beta recently led to a major network outage at one of their California offices. My question is two-fold. Has anyone else experienced network problems because of Windows XP? What is your policy for testing beta software on your network?
It would seem that the best solution would be relegating beta software and hardware to testing networks on separate subnets. What do you think?
