How do you map a port Cayman
LockedHi… I run 2 separate Novell LANS. The offices are 75 miles apart…so I need remote access to the other LAN via a PC. On my present LAN I am using a remote product that I had my ISP map a port on my router (leased) to a DHCP address that was pulled from the DHCP pool.(remote access from home.) My office is fine because I can see what the settings are on a Win 9X machine by using WINIPCFG. The problem of my other LAN is that we owne the router so I have to configure the port. When I type WINIPCFG on a PC at my other LAN…the fields all show default….How do I set up the PC to be mapped to a certain DHCP IP address if I can’t see the network nubers. We recently switched to ADSL from Bell South. If anyone knows how to configure a port and a PC with a Cayman 3220-H router to a certain port and DHCP IP address on the PC…..please contact me…
thanks,
Rob
