Trying to remove the ability to Log Off from the Start Menu. I don't want a user to be able to log off.
Windows 2008 Domain Windows 7 Pro
I have set domain group policy to Remove Loggoff on the Start Menu Properties to enabled. User Configuration/Policies/Admin Templates/Start Menu and Taskbar/Remove Loggoff on the Start Menu Properties/Enabled
I also tried the above through local policy using gpedit.msc.
In the registry I also tried the following 1. type "regedit" in start menu, right click and choose "run as administrator". 2. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer 3. In the right pane, create a new DWORD value namedStartMenuLogOff and set its value to "1". 4. Close the registry 5. Reboot the machine
I tried these separately and simultaneously and nothing works.
Any thoughts on this?
