Digital Rights Management

If Bill Gates wanted to double or triple or quadruple his wealth all he would have to do is hire his own Digital Police Force and start shutting down the "Corporate Piracy". But as always we go after a 12 year old girl and charge her 15k for some lame music that we should be paid to listen too.

Most corporations have policies, don't they?

by carpeweb In reply to How does digital rights m ...

I find it hard to believe the author's assertion that "Many corporations have no formal company policy regarding Internet usage". Of course, I'm thinking mostly of large corporations. But, if a company doesn't have an Internet usage policy in 2004, do you really think they care about the nuances of P2P?

Perhaps most policies don't address P2P directly, but copyright infringement is usually covered. Some additional education might be appropriate, or perhaps just blocking P2P is appropriate, depending on the industry and the corporate culture.
