how i copy one folder from registry

i have win98 and would like to copy only one folder from hikey.
running regedit under hikey curent user i have folder CLSID 00000010-XXX ....
that i woud like to copy onto a floppy. Please advice. thank you

highlight the folder, goto file... export... and select the location to export that key to.

yes, when you double click on the file.reg, it will import it... if it is not there, it will create it inside the registry. once done, reboot that system and it should work fine.

when i do inport of this folder to a pc that doesnt have it, will it be created ?

you can import it or double click it to add it to the registry.
Be careful though, the reg entry may be fine for your system, but may not work on another. If you add it it may cause the system to become unstable/unuseable.
