How i start to make Network Map though SNMP or APR table?

I confused to how can i start to make Network graph. how can i know the which port is mapping to particular host in switch or router. what are the mib’s are use for network map and what is the role of dot1dBridge mib in network map. reply me as soon as possible because it’s urgent.
