Hi everyone, I’ve been following the Express Entry draws for a while now, and one thing I keep noticing is how much the CRS cutoff score moves depending on the draw type. General draws, Canadian Experience Class, and category-based draws (French language, healthcare, trades, etc.) all have very different cutoffs, sometimes 100+ points apart from each other. A few things I’m curious about from others going through this process: – How are you tracking changes to your own score over time (spreadsheet, notes app, something else)? – Has anyone seen their score change significantly just from a birthday, an expired language test, or a new job title/NOC code? – For those who added French as a second language, was it worth the study time compared to just improving English scores? – Anyone have experience with how provincial nomination programs interact with Express Entry, specifically how long it took from nomination to ITA? Since job offer points were removed from the CRS in March 2025, I’m also wondering how many people have shifted their strategy toward language scores and education instead. Would love to hear what’s worked for others, especially anyone who has gone through a full cycle from entering the pool to landing.
