mine problem is that rich text mails i send via outlook express 4/5 or even microsoft outlook 2000 can't be viewed correctly by others, those who don't have an email client. i tested by sending richtext mail and even mails with .htm and .mht attchments to my account in rediffmail.com/yahoo.com but all in vain. but i wonder how newsletter say windows media weekly appear fine in browser even when not viewed by email client.

It's all in the email client that is reading the email. If it cannot process rich text, all they will get is plain text.
Of course, your web browser is an entirely different animal. It is built to understand various flavours of rich text.
If you are unsure if those who receive your emails can pick it up in rich text, and if this is important to you (it obviously is) then I would do one of 2 things:
1 - Create my file in either "Rich Text Format" (*.rtf) or HTML and send it as an attachment. Virtually everybody who can receive email can view one or the other of these formats (typically both, so it's your choice). 2 - Create my file in HTML, post it to the Web and send the link, along with a little bit of promotion that answers thequestion: Why should I click this link?
You may have rejected the previous response, but as far as I know, If a users email client only reads plain text, that is all they will ever see. In order for them to see anything in .rtf it will have to be in an attachment (where they can then use a second application to view your message).
One way to send rich text mails is to use CDO's createhtmlbody method. We use this to send rich text to our users. If they can accept HTML this will work.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
How let other view rich text email.
