I’ve got a consulting job offer from a west coast company. It requires 100% travel, pays 50% more than my current contract job. I’ve never done this before. I’ve worked a couple different contracts, but no travel.
My friend said it’s the travel that eventually gets you, but the experience is good.
MY question is, what do we get out of consulting jobs, are they leading to better perm jobs? How long can most people hold on to consulting jobs, is the traveling and dealing with clients the major reason people quit consulting?
Please anybody with this experience advise. Thanks. Rachel
