Titles range from: Data and Security officer, IT risk exec, IT Security Exec, ICT Security Officer and Information Security Lead.

(and that means, basically, that I've been doing the same job all those years!!)

My 2 Cents

by p_piluk In reply to Too long

I am entering my 11th year in IT, all of them self employed. I recently started working full time for my largest client and the change has been refreshing to say the least. Over my career, I have been an application developer, a web developer, network implementer, desktop support person, trainer and any thing else that involves PCs. I have worked with clients ranging from Fortune 500 to the smallest startup running out of their livingroom. IT has been "Very Good To Me...". I have made mistakes, had more than my fair share of sleepless nights but more importantly, I have had a chance to have a possitive impact on Hundreds of small businesses over my career. I have had the opportunity to learn the intimate workings of dozens of business types. I have never regretted my time in IT.
