According to Microsoft, as presented at the product kickoff in Phoenix (which I attended and received a Beta 3 version for attending), the limit is 10,000 clients on a single Win2K Server. I'd be really leery of trying that many, though, and would probably stick to about 2,000 per server. As for WinNT, I really don't know. I last used it for 20 clients and it really sucked even with that light a load. No doubt I had something configured wrong, but I'd still prefer never to have to use it again.
