How much is too much (or too little)?

by derek schauland . Updated 18 years, 7 months ago

Recently it seems that when some departments submit any kind of support case, their group manager or vp is included in the ticket. This is not what bugs me, but rather how much return communication is required for all of the people being involved.

Being asked how things are going or to provide updates is one thing, but being questioned about why no updates have been provided when there is nothing new to report seems a bit much.

How much loop mending communication should be needed to solve a problem? I would like to think as little as possible, but this hardly seems the case.

Does anyone have any thoughts here?
