How remove acrobat reader 9.4?

I need uninstall acrobat reader version 9.4.When I try, system says "files in use". Must I apply the "old" microsoft cleanup utility, no more avaiable in Microsoft? Must I remove all files by "regedit"???

Due to acquisitions etc the program changed name some time ago.

Nevertheless: You have an instance running somewhere.
At least before, Acrobat loved to start a process in the tray, "to speed up the startup of the program", but I think their main idea was to show off their logo on the desktop. Don't know if that's still the case, but if you have a Adobe/Acrobat logo in your tray, right-click and close it.

Also - quite possible that you have the reader running as a browser helper. Close all browser windows.

Finally, you can also check in task manager that you don't have any adobe reader processes running. (And if you have - kill them, no Mercy)

Last resort: Boot into Windows safe mode, where a bare minimum of things are auto-started. Then you really should be able to uninstall this thing.
