How to access usb drive

Ok, the usb drive was working two days ago but now it doesnt work (access denied), however when you boot in Safe it opens with no problem, there is no security tab to take ownership, and using the explore in reg boot also gives (access denied), anyone know how to address this issue? OS is xp pro

If you're lucky, then it's just something strange with the driver:

With the memory in place, go to hardware manager, locate the flash memory and uninstall it.
Then take the memory back and put it back in abain.
If this doesn't help, then something unpleasant may have happened to the flash memory itself.

Lol I got tired of messing with it backed up the files and just reformatted the drive.

As stated above you need to make changes before the Security Tab becomes available.

If you have made the necessary changes and the Security Tab still isn't available the OS has been corrupted on at the very least that User Account.
