In Tampa – We have an NT Domain named 1.com – 1 NT PDC /Exchange server for 1.com email… 2 NT BDC/APP Servers – several NT and 2000/2003 member servers running mission critical applications. Unfortunately moving these servers off of NT is not an option ATM.
New office in remote city – AD Domain named 2.com –
3x 2003 domain servers / Exchange server for 2.com…
The domains see each other through openings in their firewalls but there are no trusts.
just got a new 2003/Exchange 2007 server – domain not assigned.
Have to upgrade to AD and collapse everything to either the existing 1.com domain or create a 1.local domain encompassing all 1.com and 2.com email (under 1.com).
What would be the proper steps to intergrate/update this enterprise with minimal service interruptions?
