Be assured - you ARE an Administrator

by OldER Mycroft In reply to how to be a administrator ...

Windows XP comes with a 'hidden' Administrator built-in by default.

In case you were thinking about it: - this other Administrator should NEVER BE DELETED.

It is built-in just in case your own id becomes corrupted and fails to allow you access. You would then have a 'stand-by' id to get into your system.

As it stands, the 'Administrator' id has not got a password - you can give it a password if you wish, but if you forget it you'll be locked out if your own id fails to work.

<Edited for silly typo>
