How to become an ISP?

By phetsamay ·
I live in a small town and would like to become an ISP for about 100 clients. I would like to know if I use Microsoft Technology, how can I authenticate the user who dial in using Wiless technology (PPP), etc? Thank you.

Windows 2003 has a built in RADIUS server (IAS). Using this you can authenticate users.
If you are doing an ISP, I'd suggest Emerald ISP management at this site:

This is not wireless but it is a great dial up program.

THERE IS NO SETUP OR STARTUP FEE. However, you are required to pay the first 2 months estimated usage in advance. This is a refundable deposit. And you are required to maintain a minimum of 10 accounts.

Check it out!
