The simplest way to do this

by robo_dev In reply to How to block internet ?

Is to have the users be on a different VLAN and subnet than the Internet router interface. You setup two interfaces on the Proxy server, one on the user network, and one on the outside. Thus the only way to get to the Internet is via the proxy.

This is the way my home network is configured so that certain users on the internal network can only access approved sites through the proxy.

When you mention VPN connections, not sure if you mean site-to-site, inbound, outbound, etc., but that does not really matter.
