How to change all desktop background, screensavers, themes etc

We are undergoing a major rebranding – this means the screensaver, desktop background, desktop background colour, XP colour theme all need changing.

The new background will not be a problem – but the new background colour will be I think. I’ve found the reg keys to change it but it may now work for exisisting user accounts. I also need to change the pre-startup windows colour from the blue to the silver (and also on shutdown.) It’s causing me a nightmare – over 1000 Pc’s plus an IE8 upgrade to roll out seamlessly over the weekend!

Is there an app, custom ADM, list of reg keys for controlling all the display aspects? There are about 10 different places to do things (.default user, current users, xp current version, etc)
I have SMS and login scripts available to use to push out the changes so any suggestions will be gratefully received!
