How to change IP subnet on Exch Svr 5.5

By Chinocruz ·
I will be moving my MS Exchange Server 5.5 w/NAV for Exchange to a different IP subnet, forcing me to assign a new IP address to the server. What procedure must I take in order to have minimum down time to perform such task. Do you know of any MS Q procedure or document? Thank you.

i would think that as long as you are on the same ip network, the routers should take care of pcs finding that server when the ip address and default router is changed.

Yes, we are moving to a different subnet, so, there must be something that I have to do to the Exchange Server, some procedures that I am not able to find on TechNet or MS. For example, I know I have to remove NAV for exchange since is proprietary to that IP address when installed.
