Do you want to build it yourself after buying all needed components?
Or do you want to buy it ready-made, either in some standard configuration offered by a maker or after configuring it to your choice?

Quite a difference between “building one” or “choosing one”.

You could spend the next few weeks/months doing some serious reading about each part.

Or you could cheat and go here and get an idea of what to look for whether your buying or building.

Remember you only shared one criteria: BEST.

That’s going to be something like one of the nearly impossible to find the parts for machines with the usual Core i9, dual RTX 3080s and all the good trimmings.

To choose RAM you pick off the motherboard maker’s list (same for the CPU.)

Cabinets are rarely bad so you pick what you like and check the reviews.

      What is the goal here?

      Hey joffrey,
When selecting parts, it’s going to take a good bit of research to find out what parts you’re looking for. Price, power, your specific needs, and a myriad of other factors will influence your decision on parts. I’ve written a guide to picking the most important components, which I’ll link below, since there are too many parts and too many factors to cover in one reply. It will take a few weeks for you to gather enough information to make an informed decision, but keep in mind that it’s also an investment because you will keep this information with you for (hopefully) the rest of your life, and you can use it when deciding on components for your PC’s later on down the road, or when considering upgrades.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions about the process as a whole.

      Best Gaming PC

Here are some of the most important things to consider.

      1. Am I buying a PC just to play one game, or do I intend on playing many?
      2. What are these games?
      3. Are those games graphically demanding?
      4. Do I want to have a future-proofed PC that can play triple-A titles with high-end graphics for years to come?
      5. Do I intend to do anything other than play games on my PC, such as streaming or video rendering?
      6. Do I want to play games on the go, do I travel often, or will I want a more permanent rig at home?

Each answer to a question will change which type of computer you’re looking for. If you intend to primarily play an older game like Overwatch or Rainbow Six Siege, you wouldn’t need something incredibly powerful to run your game, even at the highest graphical settings. If you want to dive into newer games, like the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, Control, Final Fantasy XXIV, and more, you’ll need a beefier setup. If you travel a lot, there are strong contenders for gaming laptops. And if you want to multitask to stream or work, you’ll want a computer with a specific type of processor.
