Configuring BGP on a layer 3 switch is the same as configuring BGP on a router. Pick up the Cisco Press book on BGP, its roughly 600 pages and will run you about $50:

Then you will be a BGP God and others will bow to your very IOS command!

the same question. I have 3750 L3 switch i want to configure BGP in it. My ISP gave me this configuration:

Interface fa0/0.2599
Encapsulation dot1Q 2599
Ip address 172.31.41.98 255.255.255.252
No shutdown
Router bgp 64997
Neighbor 172.31.41.97 remote-as 6500
No auto-summary
This is working on router but not in L3 Switch.
