How to configure Group Policy?

By orosas ·
I am running a windows 2000 server with all workstation running windows 2000 Pro. I have set up an OU structure. I need to set a group policy to a specific OU. Like for example I want to remove the run from their start menu for that specific OU. How can I set this up at the server so that the users or computer of that OU can receive the group policy? Help!

At The OU level,Right click, properties, group policy tab create a policy file,Name policy, create new policy, name it appropriately, edit properties.User Configuration/Admin templates/Start menu task bar and remove run is one of many settings you can implement. On gpo properties/security you can set security as to who policy applies.By default authenticated users(all users in OU)will be affected. You can filter your policy to a certain group of users if you wished.Hope this helps
