Hi,
I am using VMWare player 3.1.3 with a SLES 11 guest OS on a Win7 host OS. I configured one network adapter as bridged and set the controller to static ip (i.e. 192.168.149.15 and DNS Server 192.168.149.1)
My purpose is to be able to connect the host with the guest and have access in the guest with Putty.
I know that I should change the IPs and properties in the network manager in windows but it doesn’ t work(I can’ t even ping the guest from the host and vice versa) so obviously I am doing something wrong.
Btw, I am using a USB mobile internet connection although, I don’ t think that is relevant to the connection between guest and host. Any suggestions/help would be really appreciated.
