How to Connect Two Routers – Wirelessly?

by it-lucas . Updated 15 years, 1 month ago

Alright, I have been trying to find the answer for this for some time, but unable to find the answer.

I have two routers: A) Linksys WRT54GS w/ DD-WRT; B) Netgear WNDR3300.

Problem: Router A (the linksys) is the router that has the incoming DSL connection. I need Router B to act as a repeater.

I normally have everything running off wirelessly, however this device I have does not have a wireless card built in, and currently unable to afford the wireless adapter for it. Is it possible to have Router B act as a repeater without having to run any ethernet cables from Router A to B, seeing that they both are on two different stories? I need to have Router B act as a repeater where I can connect a six foot Ethernet cord to the device.
