How to connect VB.Net 2005 with SQL Server 2000 in Windows Vista

How to connect VB.Net 2005 with SQL Server 2000 in Windows Vista ???i am asking this question because i faced this problem....the same code which i am using in windows xp works 100% but when the same code i apply in windows vista ultimate it gives the login error, why ??

please do tell me i'll send the code on demand.....thanks n waiting for reply....

Given you didn't say whether SQL 2k is on the vista box whether you are using inetgrated logons, whether if remote the vista box can see the 2k box, what protocols are / were set up...

First things first. Can you build and successfully test a connection from Tools - Connect to Database in VS....

Can you setup an ODBC cobnnection to and tst that.

Can you put the SQL Enterprise tool on teh vista box register the server and use that?

Divide and conquer...
