How to create a Direct Cable Connection between 2 PC’s running Vista Hm Prm

by matthew.conquergood . Updated 15 years, 3 months ago

I have two PC’s at home running Vista Home Premium. Each machine has dual ethernet connections on the MoBo.

I want to connect my cable modem to one PC and share the connection using ICS, and I want to connect the two PC’s using a crossover cable, which I have.

Can anyone help me out with this? It appears that MS wants us to buy Vista Ultimate in order to get support for a DCC connection, but I can’t really tell for sure, and I can’t find anything on the internet that has been helpful.

My specific question: Is there a Vista equivalent to XP’s DCC that I can install and run on two Vista Home Premium pc’s?

Please say yes.
