How to create secure forms using Cpanel?

By mikewindschitl ·
I have been asked by a client to create an online financing application form. I do not want to transmit personal and financial data with out being secure. The site is being hosted on a web server using Cpanel, which I assume is Linux. Does anyone have any information on how to implement this? I have found several sites that host secure forms but if I need to use one of these sites I would like to have some references before I sign up. One site was http://www.icestorm.com/secureform.html.

Thanks for your input, Mike

First off, CPanel is not even server specific, it is a web interface to webservers, let alone being os specific. :)

a secure form, must use https at all times.
do not use default form method of post, use the get method. [ this actually sends all data in a file stream rather than url encoded like post does ]

I doubt that CPanel itself is the right tool to be used for this, but it does support both ssl and get methods, so it may work.
