How to delete a Public Folder tree?

I’m trying to clean out some old 2002-2004 Public Folders. The trouble is, it seems I need to give myself Owner permissions in every single subfolder, and there are hundreds, created from users gone years ago. Most of these subdirectories are empty. Even to set the age limit to 1 day to weed them out will take forever.

Is there some way to remove that Public Folder at the root of it? Thanks!
