How to disable USB on linux for only mass storage.

I wanted to disable USB on linux for only mass storage.

When I disable it through BIOS, I was unable to use usb keyboard and mouse.

So how to disable only mass storage.

Unloading the usb storage module....

modprobe -r usb_storage

from the command line.

To make this permanent you will have to blacklist the module, to prevent it from loading on reboot.

Though it depends on which kind of Linux flavour you have.
Is it:
Ubuntu?
Redhat?
Fedora?
Etc, etc.
