How to either recover the personal password of an outlook PST file

How to either recover the personal password of an outlook PST file or the mails within the PST file ?

I had a PST Configured to download my mails on to my desktop, which was password protected.

I was out of office for a couple of days and in the meantime forgot the password that I had set.

Now I am not able to view the mails within the folder, without the password

Is there a way I can either get hold of my password OR avoid the password and get my mails from the PST file?

I tried Copying the PST from one PC to another and also tried creating a new Email account and have it point to the existing PST file, none of them materialized.
