How to enabling multiprocessor support in Vista

by itcontact1 . Updated 19 years ago

I am running Vista Business and have recently upgraded my motherboard and CPU. I used to have a single core P4/2.8 GHz and now have a Core2Duo 2.66 GHz. E6750 dual core CPU.

The problem is that none of my applications (e.g. Photoshop CS2, task manager CPU history) see 2 CPUs, they only see 1.

There are two CPUs that show up in Device Manager under Processors and the program that I downloaded from Intel.com correctly identifies both cores properly within Vista.

Does anyone know how I can enable dual CPU support in Vista on a system that used to run
one CPU?

Tim
