How to get Safari Internet browser on Windows to view PDF files?

By Healer ·
The safari Internet browser I installed on my Windows 7 systems won't read PDF file. One comes up with an error "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found." while the other "The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.". How can I fix it?

IE to view the file instead? You don't have to make it your primary browser, but it may be useful when trying to view a pdf.

There's no problem reading PDF files with other Internet browsers installed on my computer. I am curious why Safari doesn't work. I expect it should and I must have missed something.

But if you want to go directly to Apple, the Safari Maker you can visit the Apple Support Forums here for this issue.

Though from what I can see you may need to remove Adobe Reader and reinstall It to add the necessary Safari Plug in.

Thanks! Changing the preference of the Adobe reader allowing PDF to be displayed in the browser has fixed the problem.
