By imranmcse ·
Hi friends. I m net admin in a firm. I want to know is there any way in windows 2000 or 2003 for giving rights for sharing resources to users group instead of giving them administrative rights or power users rights. I know we can do it with Power Users account. But i dont want this i want restricted users but they can share drives. Pls help

Active Directory is much like NTFS permission on sharing files and folders permissions for controlling access. For shared files and folders you create and publish that folder as an object in Active Directory, assign groups, you wish to allow access, to that object and assign permissions for that group of what they can do.
