How to include pictures in an HTML mail

By Satya_Joshi ·
Hi,

I am trying to send a mail in HTML format from Unix server. Everything is working fine. I am not able to include a picture/gif file in the mail with SRC tag. How to specify the address/url of the picture file in the HTML ? The Unix server isnot accessible from the internet. Please suggest me.

It seems as though your Exchange server supports MIME/text atachments. If an attachement comes through from a UNIX machine it comes as UUENCODE which Exchange would find difficult to translate if it is in MIME/text format. The only work around here is to use Outlook Web Access where Exchange is concerned.

Hi Dynamo, That is not the problem, if I mention the URL of the SRC tag in HTML mail as some URL available on the internet, it is displayed properly. But if I specyfy URL as our intranet server, it is not showing any image. Anyway thanks for your reply.
