I would like to know how to instal an 8 mb graphic accelrator into my m571 motherboard(PCHIPS) which has an onboard vga, I have tried disabling the onboard vga with the motherboard's jumpers(J3) but it gives an error during the POST.

The onboard VGA and sound, usb, etc get shut off via BIOS settings. Put the jumpers back to where they were and use the soft jumpers in BIOS. If the new card needs an IRQ for OS specific features, (like video capture in win2000), then enable that in BIOS also ...
