How to install linux in sata HDD

I can't install Redhat Enterprise Linux AS 4 on my system which has a W800JD-22MSA1 SATA hard drive , because the installer doesn't detect my hard drive. What are my options?
( I don't have a floppy disk drive)

Check the BIOS

If you are having the Intel original motherboard,try to find the option in BIOS such as Legacy and Enhance mode.change the cuurent option.

Hence You can eliminate it by installing anyother linux distribution which has the kernal version above 2.6.15.
