I have tried umpteen times with boot disks,start up disks, PLOP boot manager, but I still can’t install Window on the laptop. I have the Window CD, IBM external floppy drive (non-usb)for this machine, and a Panasonic external DVD drive. The machine does not read installation from the external DVD drive and memory sticks. The BIOS does not even allow installation from usb. Unless I get an IBM ultrabay which is beyond my budget, there seems to be no way to fix this. I’m desperate. Please, anyone, is there a way around it?
