How to keep document Header and Footer

by Richard Lane In reply to How to keep document Head ...

I guess you mean that you want a standardised Header/footer for all documents? If so, you need to edit the Normal.dot template, which is the standard template, and add the H/F combination there. Once saved, every time you open up a new blank document the H/F will be displayed.

Hope this helps

Yes and no , rather keep the nomal.dot (or make a copy and rename it to "blank.dot")

So open a black document edit as you want (logos in the header etc ) now save it with the name Normal and select the word template .dot from the extention list.

make sure you save it with the other templates.

If the file is called Nomal.dot every doc u creat will be based of that setup, however if you select file new you can select a new template for a once off job)
