Firmware update file by Dell is in Windows format. I created a bootable usb using Windows ISO image, added the firmware file to the image. The added file is seen if I map the usb drive. When I boot up the usb to the Windows 8 Repair command prompt, I don’t see the firmware file, why? If I use FreeDOS instead of Windows 8, the firmware file is seen at any time, but the file won’t run in dos environment.
