How to learn Linux

By TechKid ·
Are there any good .pdf documents out there to learn linux. Seems all the www.linux.* sites just have a few how-to articles. I need complete guides that cover beggining linux to advanced. Right now, I installed Mandrake and hooked it up to the net, but after that I'm completely clueless. I can't even figure out how to install Star Office... Help?!?!

How to learn Linux

Start by subscribing to the Linux e-mail at Tech-Republic.
Also, sign up for the Linux e-mail at www.emazing.com I recommend the text only version.

Search the article archives at both places. If nothing else, they will provide you with a lot of recommended links.

For Star office, there should be instructions posted at Suns Star Office site.

Other sites of note;
www.linuxorbit.com
www.dukeofurl.org
www.linuxdoc.org
www.linuxdevices.com
http://sourceforge.net

There are also numerous books out there.
I would recommend any books published by O'Reilley
They tend to be full of info, and short on fluff.
